Hattie Risdale
'Hattie Risdale Flowers’ specialises in seasonal flowers, herbs and berries; incorporating these she decorates homes and gardens, setting idyllic country scenes for weddings, parties and gatherings.
Hattie and her husband Tim have a two year old little girl, Rosie. Motherhood was the final catalyst for Hattie to set up her business from their home in Broadway Worcestershire. This has enabled her to combine being a full time mummy with a job she and Rosie can enjoy together.
Her talent for ‘scene setting’ has been nurtured from an early age, under the guiding hand of her father John Stevens, the stonemason and Lizzie her mother. Both of whom lovingly renovated and transformed their rambling Cotswold home in the picturesque village of Naunton, not far from Broadway.
Hattie has always had an eye for the aesthetic and used her gifts to create atmosphere and set mood for family gatherings, Christmases and weddings.
One of those who recognised these talents was Kate when she asked Hattie to take on the job of decorating the marquee for her wedding three years ago to the sculptor Matthew West.
Two years later Hattie’s marriage to Tim (Kate’s cousin) provided the perfect opportunity for Hattie to really come into her own, taking on all the hard work, rewards and satisfaction of decorating her own wedding and naturally sparking off requests from others to add her magic to their weddings and parties.
